Abuja-based powerhouse duo, Afroselecta-BBK and Laxy-BBK, have returned to the frontline of fusion-focused new releases in the Afrobeats scene with their third project dubbed, The Fox.
The fraternal duo completes the 5 & 6 trilogy, after 2021’s debut, 5 & 6: Love Attack, 2023’s sophomore 5 & 6:The Duo, with this new nine-tracker that flourishes with its blend of Amapiano, Hip Hop Drill and Afro-pop.
Featuring other Abuja-affiliated acts such as Reeplay, Eeskay, TobiiWTW, among others, the duo rehash some of their favourite sync-spots such as the brilliant balance of Laxy’s Pop Smoke-esque baritone like they did in songs like ‘Hard Guy’, ‘Heart of Man’, among others.
The record also spotlights the production whiz of Afroselecta-BBK, who also announced that it marks his 20th project release as a producer. The sound guru who has actively shaped the Abuja music scene, creating some of the biggest hits for acts like Odumodublvck, Eeskay, Anti-world gangsters, among others, continues to shine for his mastery of Hip Hop and futuristic African fusion.
