Call it the magic behind their good look, and you wouldn’t be out of place. Growing beard has evolved to the stage where it is now the primary definition of ‘good look’ especially for young men who go all the way to ensure that they not only grow their beards, but also groom and treat it as the most significant part of their personality.

However, this trending beard movement seems to be more predominant amongst African men – almost as though it’s a signature. It is something that not only makes these men of colour outstanding but it gives them the extraordinary cool look that attracts the necessity for a second admiration.

Benefits of Growing Beard
Interestingly, aside from the cool elegance of grown and groomed beards, a number of certified dermatologists have revealed that beards can serve as face protection against wind, chafing and traumatic injury. It can also keep your face warm from cold weather. Thick groomed beards can also shield your face from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Also, growing a beard can keep your skin looking younger and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Growing beards also prevent your skin from drying out as the skin produces natural oils that keep it soft and younger-looking.

But to actually enjoy the numerous benefits of growing beard, you would have to be finicky to the level of spic and span, otherwise these grown beards can become detrimental to your well being as well as create problems such as acne, dandruff, ingrown hairs, skin irritation, staph infections and lice, among others.
