Elizade varsity gets NUC’s nod to run Architecture

The institution’s Head of Public Relations, Williams Olufunmi, said the university was given the approval in a letter signed by the commission’s acting Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu.

Olufunmi said the approval was based on the outcome of the resource verification visit by a panel of experts from the commission to the university.

He disclosed that a fortnight ago, the university was also given the approval to run full-time Doctoral degree, Masters in Engineering, and Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering, with effect from the 2024/2025 academic session.

According to him, the acting Executive Secretary of NUC, who conveyed the approval in a memo to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Ijadunola, congratulated the institution for the feat, urging it to continue in its task of providing human and material resources for the development of the approved programmes.

Recall that the NUC team, during its assessment, had praised the huge infrastructure outlay of the institution, and commended the maintenance culture, as well as the clean, serene, and conducive learning environment.

Prof. Ijadunola, while commending the NUC team for its thorough assessment, assured that the school will continually deliver on its mandate of producing wholesome graduates, who are not only employable but are ready-made employers through its entrepreneurial skill sets, which are in high demand in the global market.

The Registrar, Mr Omololu Adegbenro, said the university is not compromising on discipline and standards in ensuring that its graduates impact not only their generation, but generations to come as role models both in academics and morals.
