FAPMAN boss tasks govt on imported furniture influx

“Some companies are producing furniture better than what is produced abroad while some overseas based companies have relocated to Nigeria and their products are simply a beauty to behold,” Adetiba said.

He said the campaign on patriotism should be intensified so that those involved in the importation would stop making money at the expense of the country and the furniture industry.

Adetiba said that the industry could not achieve its full potential in 2009 due to irregular energy supply.

He urged the government to focus and give priority attention to the provision of sustainable energy for the sector to thrive.
