Benin monarch, Oba Ewuare II, yesterday, urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to give more opportunities to youth development. This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City by the Chief Press Secretary to the Oba, Osaigbovo Iguobaro.
According to the statement, the monarch said this in his congratulatory letter to the President. He prayed to God and his ancestors to grant Tinubu the enablement to pilot the affairs of the nation.
The letter quotes the Oba as saying: “Your swearing-in ceremony as the 16th President of this great country is a fulfillment of destiny, the people’s will and the wish of God Almighty made it possible for you to assume the mantle of leadership.
“From your antecedents, we have no doubt that you will excel in this position and fulfil your mandate to Nigerians. We, however, plead with your Excellency to give more opportunity to youth development in this country.”
