Heart purity

The church generally is fast loosing sight of heaven and if proper precautions are not taken, the enemy might rejoice over the church. Heart purity is a must for every believer to possess at all times in order to see God but this has been neglected by many. The life in which we live is too short that no one knows when he will leave this earth. Every man has an appointment with God that he cannot escape. “… it is appointed unto a man to die, but after this the judgment.”

The saints of old were never distracted because their focus was heaven. They lived every day at a time expecting that an emergency call of death could take place at anytime. Conversely, this generation has lost track such that everyone does whatever pleases him without eternity in view. Instructively, Peter, the aged, knew the fact that life is transient and ephemeral, hence, the self-caution that he would soon put off the earthly tabernacle.

Any man, who loses the consciousness of heaven because of mundane things, will be the worst fool on earth. It is an indisputable fact that every man must leave the earth unannounced. Therefore, purity of heart is an indispensable virtue that will accelerate man to heaven to be with the Lord eternally. Purity of heart is a pre-requisite pursuit that every believer must possess. The heart in this context, is the spirit of man that is made pure.

Unfortunately, many people do not know what they worship. There is an obvious carelessness that pervades Christianity. Heart purity is hinged on sobriety, not frivolity Christianity that has stripped off righteousness from believers.

Isaiah was an epitome of self-righteousness until he had an encounter with the Lord that exposed his weaknesses and further brought about holiness to his life. The vision of heaven and its righteousness will make a child of God to be more serious with God and draws him closer to God and his holiness. Sincerity of heart like Isaiah, is what is required by true worshippers of God.

Heaven is a land of holiness and purity, where the holy God dwells. This is where believers are going! Unclean lips will naturally disqualifies a child of God from seeing God on the last day. Believers should take time to deal with their heart by purging it with the word of God. This will produce a new heart in believers and draw them closer to God.
