Kel-P and Blaqbonez

Nigerian hitmakers, Kel-P and Blaqbonez, have united for a fine fusion between hip-hop and pop music, in the new track dubbed, Warning. The record, which glimmers for its unique vocal chemistry of both singers, strengthens the legacy of Hip Hop collaborations in Nigeria.

After working with both Kalash and Chikoruss on two different versions of the track In My Feelings, Kel-P continues his commitment to collaboration with this new track.

Kel-P says, “the song is an empowering anthem that embodies my relentless pursuit of self-improvement and progress. The record expresses my resilience and desire for growth. A word to my fans worldwide, if you’re going through anything in life and you hear this, I hope this inspires you to never give up.”

After contributing to the global success of Afrobeats by producing for Burna Boy, Rema, Adekunle Gold, Davido and Janelle Monaé, and winning a Grammy for his collaboration with Angélique Kidjo, Kel-P launched his own performing career in 2023 with the Bully Season Vol.1 EP. The focus track, One More Night, features a sample of Nelly and Kelly Rowland’s iconic R&B hit, Dilemma.

Kel-P’s first notable production was Solidstar’s Eleganza. Forging a solid reputation, he teamed up with Burna Boy and produced 10 tracks on the 2019 album, African Giant. He also produced Faith from Skip Marley’s Higher Place album, earning him a Grammy Award nomination for “Best Reggae Album”. In 2022, Kel-P received a Grammy in the “Best World Music Album” category for Angélique Kidjo’s Mother Nature and a Grammy nomination for Wizkid’s Made in Lagos: Deluxe Edition.
