The embattled Chairman of Ondo State’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Fatai Adams, is dead.

Adams died yesterday, 43 days after he was suspended by the party’s State Working Committee (SWC).

Publicity Secretary of the party, Kennedy Peretei, who confirmed the unfortunate incident, said that an official statement would be issued by the party on the matter.

HOWEVER, the South-West PDP has commiserated with the National Executive Committee (NEC) and all members of the party in Ondo State over the death of Adams.

Zonal Publicity Secretary of the party, Sanya Atofarati, said Adams was a loyal, committed and service-oriented man who sacrificed for the growth of the party.
ALSO, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has commiserated with the leadership and members of the opposition party over the demise of Adams.

According to Aiyedatiwa, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the late Adams was a complete gentleman who, as a leader of opposition in the state, played politics without bitterness and, as a member of the House of Assembly, contributed his quota to the development of the state.

He described the death of Adams as a great loss to the political family, the people of Irun-Akoko in Akoko North West of Ondo State.
