Pate to deliver keynote at NDFF conference

Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Pate, has been confirmed to speak at the Nigeria Development and Finance Forum (NDFF) 2024 Conference, a high-level gathering of public, private, social and international sector leaders billed for May 8 and 9, 2024, at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

The conference holds in Nigeria for the first time, after five previous editions in London, Washington DC and New York.

With the theme, ‘The Road to Economic and Social Welfare Transformation’, this year’s conference aims to provide a strong backing for a holistic and transformative reform agenda for the Nigerian economy.


Convener of NDFF and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Financial Nigeria International, Jide Akintunde, said the confirmation of Pate as keynote speaker is a mark of progress, as the Planning Group for the conference aims to bring together leaders critical to the objective of fostering fiscal reform, monetary stability and social welfare towards achieving sustainable economic progress in Nigeria.

The minister will be speaking on ‘Transforming Nigeria’s Population Health: Crowding in Policy, Market and Social Actions’, he added.

onfirming his participation, the minister said: “The topic of my keynote is in line with our vision and approach for Nigeria’s health sector renewal. The goal of health policy under the administration of President Bola Tinubu is to improve governance, provide efficient and equitable access to quality health services, drive investment in healthcare value chains, and enhance health security for all Nigerians.”
