He added that the incident occurred on June 29, 2024.

He said that a concerned citizen had informed police authorities about the girl’s attempt to commit suicide by ingesting a harmful chemical known as Sniper.

According to Hundeyin, the officers promptly responded to the tip-off and were dispatched to the scene where the girl was located.

“Upon rescue, the lady, whose identity remains confidential, confessed that she had been driven to the brink of suicide due to severe emotional distress,” Hundeyin disclosed.

“She revealed that she was impregnated by a man who subsequently refused to take responsibility for the pregnancy.”
