Rapper Wale Teases Potential Collaboration with KSA and Tame Impala

Rapper Wale has dropped some exciting news for his fans with the prospect of new music and prospective collaborations.

The artist took to his X account to share a cryptic message saying: “They been askin me for new music … but I’m tryna get KSA and Tame Impala on a track … my silence was only quiet to y’all,”

This statement suggests that Wale is working on a collaboration featuring not one, but two musical powerhouses: Afrobeat legend King Sunny Ade (KSA) and psychedelic rock producer Tame Impala.

The mere mention of King Sunny Ade (KSA), a legend in the world of Nigerian music, alongside the psychedelic sounds of Tame Impala, has people excited about the track that could result from such a diverse mix of artists.

Tame Impala, the project of multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, has been known for their collaborations and remixes, bringing a fresh take to various genres.

The involvement of King Sunny Ade (KSA), with his rich Afrobeat and Juju music heritage, could introduce an entirely new layer of cultural depth to the collaboration.

Wale whose real name is Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, is an American rapper with deep Nigerian roots. Wale’s parents are from the Yoruba ethnic group of southwestern Nigeria and emigrated to the United States from Austria in 1979.

His music often reflects his heritage, and he has been vocal about his Nigerian identity, considering himself a Nigerian first.
