Tinubu will survive new plot by Atiku, Obi, others to unseat him – Group

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have allayed the fears that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not survive the subterranean plot by Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to unseat him in the 2027 presidential election.

The group under the aegis of the Progressive Hub led by Bukie Okangbe at a news conference on Friday in Abuja maintained that no amount of political alignment or strategies can make President Tinubu lose out in the 2027 poll.

The group, who alleged that there is ongoing infighting and witch-hunts among the party stalwarts, stressed the need for APC members to forge a common front to survive the antics of the opposition political parties.

Though the group did not mention those being witch-hunted, they wondered why this is happening to APC stalwarts even when opposition leaders allegedly indicted of corrupt practices are walking free in the country.

“The strength of APC lies in the faithfulness of her members and so the more we pull our leaders down in public, the more we make the opposition stronger. It is now getting worse that some progressive members are doing the work of opposition parties which is a sad reality,” the group said.

“It is our hope that this would put a magic stop to our internal party rancour and make our party stronger and better going forward as progressives that we are.

“The Witch hunting of our leaders that have worked so hard for this Administration during campaigns must stop. We should remain focus as one family. It is both human and natural that issues would arise within a political family from time to time but the ability to reconcile and move forward makes the difference.

“The way forward for us as progressive government is for our party members to have a change of heart towards our leaders and stop the public embarrassment of dragging leaders in public.”

Stating that they are mindful of the hardship and hunger faced by many families and households in the country, they pleaded with Nigerians to bear with President Tinubu and have faith in the administration.

“The president has given Nigerians his words that the present hardship is temporary and this he is committed to doing. As a leader with a large heart, Nigerians should just show a little more patient in the capacity of the president to fulfill His Elections promises.”
