In light of this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD), participants at the Women Inspiring Impact Network (WiiN) annual career workshop, have been urged to adapt with agility to new realities, upskill, and build capacity as professionals.
Founded by Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, WiiN, hosted the third edition of boost your career and impact (BYCI 3.0) themed, ‘Leading during Extraordinary Times’.
The virtual workshop focused on empowering participants with necessary skills and tools needed to navigate the new normal.
Ambrose-Medebem said this year’s theme was apt given the unprecedented ramifications of the global pandemic, which has forced everyone to re-think, re-set, build, and ensure women emerged from the economic crisis as unscathed as possible.
During the discussion moderated by Folashade, panelists highlighted the need for professionals to demonstrate resilience during uncertain times, leverage the digital tools, and innovate to thrive.
Participants left the virtual workshop empowered, confident, and ready to upskill while ensuring their performance was visible to the right stakeholders, sponsors, and mentors alike.
The event also featured the launch of the WiiN Elevator community, and all young leaders are encouraged to sign-up.
